Description

An established recycling company based in Smethwick requires an experienced maintenace fitter with welding experience.

Duties:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on mobile and fixed plant equipment including shredders, conveyors, and all manner of recycling plant equipment.
  • Plant safety inspections.
  • MIG welding on plant.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy plant equipment preferably in a scrapyard / recycling environment.
  • Mechanical fitting experience essential.
  • MIG and arc welding experience esential.
  • Own tools required.

Hours:

  • 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Saturdays overtime at time and a half.
  • Sunday overtime at double time.

This is a temp to perm position that starts immediately.
